Transition to New International Airport in Istanbul

Turkey will relocate its current International airport (Atatürk Airport) located at the Marmara sea, to a new and larger location (İstanbul Yeni Havalimanı) near the black sea. The transition is scheduled to take place March 2019.

When the entire airport project is complete in 2028, it will be the world’s largest airport, with a capacity of about 200 million passengers.

Marken has already put contingency plans into place to reroute shipments to minimize any impact. Clients may reach out to a local Marken office for updates on a particular shipment.
