New Marken Overpacks immediately Identify Time Critical Shipments

GREEN COLOR WILL INCREASE VISIBILITY

Research Triangle Park, N.C., July 30, 2020 – Marken today announced they have transitioned their overpack cartons for all shipments to Marken green in order to draw immediate attention to their time critical shipments.  Designed to increase visibility for high value shipments destined for patients, the global transition is a direct replacement of an existing shipper. The new green color stands out amongst other packaging so that Marken’s shipments can be easily spotted and expedited as critical.

The rollout began in May for the US, while Europe and Asia Pacific followed in July as inventory of the old stock was consumed before the new green shippers were implemented. Each time a credo is shipped, it will receive a new green overpack. The updated shells are produced by manufacturers in 3 regions across the world which allows for decreased shipping time and cost to their final branch destinations.

Ariette van Strien, President, commented, “During the evolution from clinical drugs and treatments to commercial, time and temperature sensitive supply chain management can be the single success or failure factor. We determined that a simple color change in packaging helps our teams, airline partners and our Local Service Providers to quickly identify Marken shipments within the sea of packages awaiting pick up.  These shipments are now immediately and visibly apparent as we connect patients with their medicines and treatments. This is one more step in ensuring that we are doing everything we can to meet the needs of clients and patients.”
