Workshop Series: Innovative Technologies for Clinical Trial Logistics

Marken continues to respond to the industry’s need for information on innovations within the clinical trial industry.  Their continuing workshop series, Innovative Technologies for Clinical Trial Logistics, provides the opportunity for attendees to hear from guest speakers from pharma and the life sciences industry who share information on the latest trends in the clinical research industry, particularly patient-driven demand and the importance of leveraging global network capabilities.  Late stage customization and e-label technologies are also explored in the interactive exchange of ideas on reducing waste as well as cost optimization.

Clients present successful real life Direct to/from Patient (DTP/DFP) case studies focusing on Marken’s DTP services. A live demonstration of Marken’s Sentry GPS device and its capabilities outlines the 24/7/365 real time tracking features for high value shipments. The events also provide excellent opportunities for networking and idea exchange among industry experts and colleagues. The globally-hosted series began in London (UK) in January, followed by Singapore in March, and three more workshops are taking place in June: Mumbai (India) on June 6, followed by Princeton (US) on June 8, and Shanghai (China) on June 21.

Wes Wheeler, Marken’s Chief Executive Officer commented, “Our clients tell us that they benefit from this unique interactive format which combines experienced industry speakers alongside vendors and service professionals.  This engaged exchange provides a platform to promote growth and focus on ensuring the patient remains the central focus for clinical trials. We are proud to be the catalyst and host for these types of workshops.”

Seats were limited and response was so strong that the workshops filled within days of the event announcements. Additional events are being planned for Q4 and could include locations in San Francisco (US) and Basel (Switzerland).
